Ange charged Achilles with a fury that would have made Ares proud to claim her. Achilles recovered quickly and simply held her off with his big hands blocking each blow. When she tried the knee kick to his groin, he was prepared. Maybe she couldn’t pierce his skin but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t feel it in his male sack.
Hercules just stood to the side with his massive arms folded across his chest and watched with a big grin on his face. “Go, Ange,” he hooted, thoroughly enjoying his friend getting punched, even if it didn’t hurt him.
Achilles shot him a death glare and finally grabbed Ange’s hands and pulled her in close to his big body where she couldn’t hurt herself against him. “Why are you attacking me?” he growled in her tiny ear. “You can’t hurt me, you know.” She felt so good in his arms, he wanted to hold her forever, among other things. Her eyes were mesmerizing. The sky-blue orbs had the tiniest flecks of gold in them, he noticed. A beautiful combination. In fact, he was so wrapped up in her gorgeous eyes that he didn’t notice her leg steal behind his until he felt her heel slam against the tendon on his right leg. He crumpled and backed off, limping. “That was a low blow, Angel,” he gritted through his teeth.
“You deserved it,” she rounded hotly, her hands on her hips.
